Restoring Icemakers
If the icemaker doesn't work, you can repair it or replace it with a brand new one. Most refrigerator icemakers have little that needs 'restoring'. Seriously consider replacing an old GE push up icemaker with a new replacement kit with a more modern design.
Adding an Icemaker
You can even install an icemaker into a fridge model that didn't previously have one to increase its value.
