Basic Tool Set

The basic set of tools required to work on appliances is as follows:

  1. 1/4" and 5/16" nut drivers
  2. Philips and flat-blade screwdrivers
  3. Small (8 inch) channel lock pliers
  4. Reliable flashlight
  5. Heavy duty putty knife
  6. 1/2" drive socket drive with 12 inch extension and 1/2" & 9/16" sockets
  7. Claburn clamp pliers
  8. Volt/ohmmeter (small)

Enhancing Tool Set

The following additional tools will allow more extensive repair, restoration and appliance installation for an appliance service and leasing business:

  1. Two 10 inch adjustable wrenches
  2. Copper tubing flaring set
  3. Drive block spanner wrench for Whirlpool belted washer
  4. Hammer
  5. Hack saw
  6. 1/4" drive socket set
