An agent will refer you and your business to a potential customer. The agent will prequalify their client as a good appliance leasing customer. The agent is probably completing a housing package for the client with your appliances.
Real estate agents accept listings for upscale rent homes that attract equally upscale tennants with good incomes. These customers have a limited budget to pay the monthly rent for the house, furniture and appliances. A reasonable package price for a used washer, dryer and refrigerator will allow them to rent more furniture.
Which Agencies?
Select a real estate agency that has a high percentage of the nice rental homes in your community. Be selective - I have never found it productive to commission every agent in town.
Which Agents?
Pick out a good relocation agent. An agent that knows more than one language is helpful for those customers coming from foreign countries and working for large corporations that are paying all of their housing costs. Some house buyers need temporary appliances until their furniture and appliances arrive.
Commission
All agents work for a commission. A reasonable commission is 50% of the first month's rent.
Many furniture leasing companies don't want to lease appliances too because they don't want to service them. Customers leasing furniture also need to lease a full set of appliances. The furniture company's employees can be commissioned to prequalify and refer their furniture leasing customers to your business for their appliance needs.
